Won't be long before there will be a permanent  launch  at the old Nechako boat launch site on River Road.

The launch is closed now through to mid December so construction crews can get their work done. Anyone who normally uses the Heritage River Trail that crosses through the launch area is asked to use River Road to get by the construction area.

Although those doing the work have donated much of the materials and equipment, the project is still expected to cost about $150 thousand dollars.

The project has been undertaken by the Prince George River Boat Association with  assistance from the City of Prince George and the Northern Developments Initiatives Trust.

Good project. Better for everyone.
I don't agree Yama but that is ok...
the money is being spent ao all the boaters can go play in the water....And my problem is that it is at taxpayers expense. If you want it, pay for it....
