Telus Fixes Cables Cut by Vandals

Telus has repaired 900 pairs of cables cut in Burnaby.

The phone company says the cut was the result of an act of valndalsism which they do not beleive had any link with the current labour dispute.

Initially, Telus thought t would take about 30 hours to complete the complicated rapair, but the lines were fixed late yesterday, ahead of schedule.


Meantime, no change in the labour dispute. The Teleccomunications workers are still on the picket lines and there is no sign of any repairs being made to the downed lines of communication between the union and the company
