Mission Possible @ Work. That's the name of a new ICBC program aimed at reducing on the job vehicle crashes.
ICBC claims vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death in the workplace. WCB stats show it usually takes 72 days in recovery time from crash related injuries, and a U.S. study claims a personal injury crash, can cost a company about $24,500.00
So ICBC is hoping employers won't mind spending some dollars on this new project that calls for an ICBC recognized facilitator setting up and delivering special sessions on driving safety and safety concerns. The group sessions with employees involve lots of dialogue and will look at all kinds of issues, including fatigue, speeding, distractions and road rage.
In Prince George, the facilitator is Kyle Matthies Consulting. ICBC says the bottom line cost for the program is $700.00.
