I guess the next election will be fought in Quebec on the environment.

The west should be a lock now for the conservatives. I had hoped either Kennedy or Ignatieff could have made elections competitive in this part of the country so our views would have more importance at the federal level.

On the plus side I am sure glad Bob Rea did not get elected their leader. Sure he would have been easy to beat in an election being a political red turn coat and Power Corp multinational lacky, but I would just not rather see people like that in leadership positions in our country. At least Dion is geniune, and so I find that acceptable.

I would like to see Dion be the first of the current federal leaders to visit Prince George, Northern BC's biggest city. Also I like that his name is easy to spell.
If Bob Rae had won he would have caused some concern for the Conservatives, mainley because he is a died in the wool NDP'er who just happened to join the Liberal Party. It was within the realm of possibility that he could have pulled a lot of NDP Votes, along with the Liberal votes and thus had a good chance of defeating the Conservatives, and forming a Majority Government. Im sure that the Conservatives, and especially Jack Layton are breathing a sigh of releif.

The next election will now be much the same as the last, with the Liberals trying to steal NDP Votes and their platform, splitting the vote, and as a result giving the Conservatives a chance to form a Majority Government.

Stephen Dion is not big threat to anyone, and this will be clearly shown as we head into an election, which I suspect will be very soon, as I doubt that Harper will want the Liberals to have to much time to get ready.

I doubt if Dion would come to Prince George as it has historically voted everything but Liberal, however who knows., Usually they dont waste their time on ridings that they cannot win.

I suspect that Ignatief (Or whatever his name is) will head on back to the good old USA or Britian and continue his academic career. Its just as well he was knocked out now, because he would surely have been later. It was nice of him to ride in on his horse and offer to become our Prime Mininster, only someone with a huge ego, would every try to pull off such a moronic stunt. Goodbye and good riddance Micheal.
Ho Hum Yawn.
ZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Celine must be celebrating ......
I guess I shall remain a Red Tory for the next election.

I was hoping for Kenedy; then I would have become a Blue Grit.
The anyone but Rae group will join the anyone but Harper group and win the next election .......

time will tell ....

;-)
Democracy in action. It's always easier to determine who you want to get rid of. It's more of a challenge to figure out who to replace them with. Chester
Well said, Fred.....er, I mean Chester (but it doesn't rhyme very well).

;-)

Can we vote for some other country's Prime Minister ? Can we trade them back and forth like hockey cards ?
