What the heck does Apprehension and Suspension of Statutory release mean? Is he dangerous? Did he break out of Kent Institution? Chester
Statutory Release means that he was released because he met the conditions required for release. He did not escape.

I gather that they can suspend the release and apprehend him if he is a suspect in another crime.

I could not find anything on this fellow, but here is another example of someone who is still at large from the looks of it.

- Apprehension means "to be arrested" (apprehended)

- Suspension means the suspension of a release from custody

- Statutory Release from custody is letting the guy out on community supervision (parole) after serving a determinate amount of time

In the Provincial system you must serve 2/3 of the sentence before being eligible for release.

In the Federal system, you must serve 1/3 before becoming eligible, and Kent is a Federal Institution.

Federal Jails = 2 years and better
Provincial Jails = 2 years less a day, or shorter

Moral of the story:
Probably a parole violator. Violated some condition of his parole, most likely is drugs or booze. That's the most common type of f*up that these guys do. Get out of jail and it's party time.
