Second Chopper Crash in as Many Weeks

For the second time in two weeks, a helicopter has crashed in the northwest region of the province.
This time, the pilot of a helicopter that crashed in the rugged area near Kalum Lake , (about 30 miles north of Terrace) late Tuesday afternoon, remains in hospital with serious burns.
His Quantum helicopter crashed as he attempted to fly into the Kalum Lake area which is surrounded by mountains.
He was the lone occupant in the machine and no cause has yet been determined for the crash. The injured pilot's name has not been released.
Just a little over a week ago, a man from Ootsa Lake died when the homemade chopper he was piloting crashed on a flight from Ootsa to Fraser Lake. The cause of that crash has yet to be determined.
