New Year's Eve - Busy Night for PG RCMP

New Year’s Eve proved to a busy night for Prince George RCMP. Staff responded to numerous liquor related disturbances, fights, assaults and other matters. As of this morning 17 persons were in police custody.
RCMP is investigating an armed robbery at PGI Foods located at 2900 5th Avenue.
Police with the assistance of a police dog apprehended the suspect of a break and enter at the 5th Avenue Liquor store. Police have a 31 year old male from Prince George in custody; also under arrest on outstanding warrants.
Prince George RCMP responded to serious assault at 3rd and Dominion. Ambulance workers had come across a male lying on the roadway unconscious, the victim of an assault. The victim was transported to Prince George Regional Hospital where he is in serious condition. RCMP are asking that any person who may have witnessed the serious assault, or who may have information on it, to contact the detachment or Crimestoppers.
