The Czech Republic, behind strong defense, defeated Canada 3 to 0 in World Cup play today(Sunday May 15th) to take the Gold. Canada receives silver and Russia, who earlier in the day blasted Sweden, got Bronze. The Czech defense was able to smother Canada’s offence, three of whom had been the top three leaders in scoring at the tournament.
