About 600 homes were still out of power as of 9.15 PM. Sunday night, capping a day of high winds in the area.
West Lake was out, Upper Fraser, Upper Mud River, 230 customers along Chief Lake Rd. west of Pilot Mt Rd. west to Ness Lake, The McBride Timber Rd, and all of the 100 odd customers at McLeod Lake were in the black this evening.
Power has been restored to the North Nechako area, while power remains out for about 600 customers in the Quesnel area.
BC Hydro spokesman, David Conway, said tonight that crews have been working to restore service, the problem however, has been that many of the outages are spread out over large areas, making it much more difficult to reach and repair.
Conway added, " high winds have blown trees across the Hydro lines in many parts of the central interior, causing the power black outs ".
To the west , power has also been cut in Burns Lake, and many of the smaller surrounding communities.
