Plans to build a three  floor housing complex on 7th Avenue raised concerns, but Council has cleared the way for a developer to take the next step in building a housing complex.

Two letters expressing concerns were presented to Prince George City Council.  Both questioned the process, as one complained about the timing and asked Council to re-schedule the hearing, the other wanted clarification on the change in zoning, and expressed concern about how the  notification of the hearing was delivered.  One woman addressed Council saying  the notification she received had been addressed to "occupant" and one neighbour says normally she would have tossed such a letter.

City staff say the project fits well with plans to increase the population in the downtown core and they encouraged approval.

The design  of the building has yet to be presented to Council.

good stuff!!!
Glad to hear that they are going ahead can't wait to see both this and the new police station improving the downtown.
It would be nice if they would build something even 3/4 as good as what was originally planned almost 2 decades ago by one of the Creuzots. The "rendering" of that was recently taken down to put up the rezoning notice.
