Serious Accident On 97 South

Highway 97 South is closed between   the Junction  with the Old Cariboo Highway and Homes Road.

A truck and chip truck collided on that section of the highway just after 7 this morning.  Two people were trapped in their vehicles, and have since been taken to hospital.  Injuries are said to be very serious.

Southbound traffic is being re-routed on to Holmes Road while northbound traffic is being re-routed on to the Old Cariboo Highway at the Art Knapp garden centre.

This crash is one of several police have had to deal with all over the Prince George area as the latest snowstorm passed through the region.
