Scott Bowles Returns to WHL

January, 10, 2007

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires General Manager, Warren Rychel, today announced that Spitfires Overage Goaltender Scott Bowles has cleared the OHL waiver wire and is returning to his original team, the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League.

Cougars General Manager  Dallas Thompson says the addition of Bowles will "shore up the goal tending" for the team.

"Scotty was a very popular member of the team, and the mood in the dressing room (about Scott’s return) is very good"

Thompson says Real Cyr will be the number one goalie, however, that could change,  "The more you win, the more you play" says the General Manager.

Last season with the Cougars, Bowles played in 49 games, registering a 2.40 GAA, 91.5% save percentage, 6 shutouts, and a 26-16-2-2 record. Bowles also appeared in all 5 playoff games for the 'Cats last season, posting a 1-3-1 record.

"I am very excited to be returning to Prince George. If there is one place I would like to finish my career, it would be in Prince George with the Cougars", says Bowles.
