A Coroner's inquest into the death of 29 year old Kevin St Arnaud  being held in Vanderhoof  has been told St. Arnaud was shot three times.  According to the pathologist who testified, Dr. McNaughton of Kamloops, any one of the wounds could have been fatal.

Dr. McNaughton testified that St. Arnaud had 3 bullet wounds  which entered and exited the body at a 35 - 40 degree angle suggesting that either the police were standing  up high  when the shots were fired,  or  St. Arnaud was in a crouched position.

One of the bullets that passed through St Arnaud's body first passed through  his hand before exiting through the chest cavity. The other two bullets entered the chest caviyty and exited near the abdomen.

Vancouver Civil Liberties Lawyer, Cameron Ward, who is representing the Family at the inquest,  is now asking Dr. MacNaughton if the police officers were in a commando position, what position whould St Arnaud have had to assume  in order for the wounds to be consistant?

St. Arnaud  was shot to death by police  in December of 2004.  At the time, police had said he was a suspect in a robbery.
