A three vehicle crash at Tyner and Baker this morning sent one person to  hospital with minor injuries, but tied up traffic for a time.

Police say  an east bound Jeep lost control and crossed the centre lane where it crashed with a westbound Ford Pick-up. When that crash occured, the hard top on the jeep came loose and  hit another vehicle, this time, an east bound pick up.  The driver of that truck wasn't hurt, and although his vehicle was damaged, he was able to drive it.

The 20 year old male driver of the jeep  is the one who was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say road conditions were very sloppy at the time of the  crash,  their investigation  continues.

This has been my pet peeve with the city handling the snow clearing. Instead of clearing snow they just salt it and hope it melts. In the mean time we get lots of slush and water that has no place to drain to. Then it goes and freezes and is nothing but ice for several days and of course they don't deal with the ice, but we did save a few dollars.

I wish the fellow injured could sue the city for lack of snow clearing and instead purposely setting us all up for slippery conditions.
You must learn to drive to the conditions of the road.............it would be hard to sue if you are dead..
You are correct runner46. I would bet that the 20 yr old driver is the one to blame for this one. A jeep, 4x4, and a young driver who thinks just because his 4whdr is engaged, he's immune to snow pack road conditions. Plus, it was quite a good dump of snow last night....not enough time to get all the trucks to all the bad spots in time.
I was out driveing in that crap all night and I think the city boys did a good job considering the amount of snow that fell in such a short time.
Its not an easy job that they have dealing with all the crap that they have to put up with.
Hell if anyone wants to complain maybe they should sit in their seat for a 12 hour shift and see if they can do better. Wonder boy in the jeep should maybe slow down a bit. He most likely would of got home a whole lot sooner.
Runner hit the nail on the head.
It's simple. Drive according to the road/weather conditions, and most important of all:
DRIVE A LITTLE SLOWER!!!
Log truck drivers (especially you younger guys)
take note. You don't need to write another special exam for the government, I know you can operate that log truck, JUST SLOW DOWN!!!
