Police seized more than 2,000 marijuana plants.

Two men were arrested at the scene and will appear in court March 13th.

Ho hum!! Appear in March? My but the judge must have a very full "īn-basket". Hey Judge! Just give them probation and ensure yourself with job security. Along with every one else involved. Justice? In the dictionary the word is between jackass and juvenile. Got that?
Hey harbringer.......the court date in march is par for the course. The coppers need the time to complete all the paperwork...exhibit forms, reports, court documents, exhibit results....
should be all done by march just in time for the first appearance. Nuff said.
Wells Detachment? Grow op in the southwest of Quesnel? A wide net.

Actually the judge likely does have a large "in-basket". If inadequate time is set aside for a case in front of the court, a continuance normally takes a couple of months.

And you thought there were only waiting lists for surgery? Or seeing a specialist MD? Or setting another meeting date with a few business people?

- One month for the next business meeting to get a free day when everyone is available.

- 2 months for a court date

- 3 months for aqn internist

- 6 months for an opthamologist

- God knows how long for elective surgery in PG

A fact of life in a system which cannot afford the money it costs to have instantaneous service. Why should this be a surprise to anyone?

Anyone seen the lines to get your passport applications checked? Now there is quick response time to service people who knew it was coming but did nto act till the last minute because they did not believe that the Canada-US relationship had deteriorated to that point, as people travelling from France to Belgium remark to each other in a car: "Oh, I think we just crossed the border."

Times change.
Come to think of it I guess the judge was right to let them run around til their court date. With these "time served" counting as time and a half deals, maybe the judge would owe these guys a few bucks out of his own wallet seeing as how they will probably not have to serve time for this "crime". Sure hope they don't commit any other crimes before March and don't head to Ontario before then too.
Just a bunch of foresters operating a seedling nursery. With the MPB they have to learn to apply their skills to diverified job oportunities.
;-)
"..because they did not believe that the Canada-US relationship had deteriorated to that point, as people travelling from France to Belgium remark to each other in a car: "Oh, I think we just crossed the border."

Different over there. The USA would have a brick wall between themselves and Franch or Belgium if the were any closer to the USA. The EU ( UE in French) share so many cultural excuses that there is nothing definitive or unique to interest terrorists. If you don't stand for anything, nobody is interested in knocking you down, right?
Canada's defense stratergy is to embrace anything and everything, o principles, and this has become a concern for the USA.
Pot growers...sounds like danger to me.
Who gives a fiddler's FK anyway ?
The males were from the lowermainland, yamadoopolcat. That spells "organized crime" links. And, organized crime is one of the main reasons why so much of our hard earned material property goes missing in order for customers to buy their weed.
Actually, your stuff is being ripped mainly by crackheads. It's a very expensive and insatiable habit. Most pot smokers have jobs, and their habit costs a mere $5 a day. It's not worth stealing for, you could panhandle that much.
