A 38 year old Federal parolee is facing charges of armed robbery, attempted abduction, and assault with a weapon, after a string of events on the Hart Sunday afternoon.

A woman had just finished her grocery shopping  at the Save On Foods  at the Hart Shopping Mall  on Austin Road when a man threatened her with a syringe and demanded she drive him to where he wanted to go.

The victim turned and ran into the store and the male suspect entered the woman’s vehicle stealing her purse and wallet.

Police surrounded the area , and the Police dog was called in.

After searching the mall, the suspect was found in the Home Hardware.

According to Police, as they closed in the suspect ran from the mall, then injected himself with a toxic cleaning agent. He was quickly apprehended, taken to Prince George Regional Hospital, treated,  and then released into police custody.

Too bad it wasnt stronger cleaning agent!
At least he is disinfected.

Hopefully, once he has recovered, they will consider him for parole again ???

Maybe the parole board members should take him to their house for rehabilitation instead of dumping him in our back yard.
Why did they trat him? Let him suffer.

That needle he had, did he really trade it at the needle exchange? They should implicate the needle exchange for supplying the needle in connection with this robbery. Kinda like the guy selling you a gun, knowing you were kinda looney. They could probably get away with that connection on Law & Order, I betcha!
