For the second time in three years, Patti Knezevic and her Prince George rinkmates lost in the final of the BC provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Former World and Canadian champ Kelley Law dropped the Knezevic team 10-4 in eight ends to capture the provincial women’s curling championship in Kamloops.

Law, who won the 2000 National Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Prince George, never trailed in building a 5-3 lead at the midway point. A deuce in the 7th end and steal of 3 in the 8th end put away the Prince George Golf and Curling Club team. After dropping their first round robin game, the Law rink from New Westminster won seven in a row, including the victory in the final. Skip Patti Knezevic, third Tracey Jones, second Kay Lynn Thompson and lead Melinda Kotsch finished 6 and 3  second overall in the 8-team provincial.  Law will represent BC at the National Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 17-25 in Lethbridge.
