Although the Northern B.C. Film Commission failed to attract a "big-ticket" item to the region last year, Commissioner Karen Cameron says 2006 was a solid year for production.

Cameron says there were over 140 production days throughout northern B.C., contributing approximately $360-thousand dollars to our economy.

She says the projects varied from two extreme skiing feature films shot in the Terrace-area, to documentaries for Animal Planet, The Knowledge Network, and History Channel.  Prince George hosted OLN's "Road Hockey Rumble."

Cameron says location requests remained solid, with 62 coming in over the course of the year.

More recently, the commissioner hosted a tour of the Robson Valley for film industry representatives at the end of last month.  They travelled east from Prince George on the train and Cameron says it the first time the majority had been to the eastern section of our region.

Either way it was a very small amount and if they consider that a busy year I wish I had that job !
lunar, you are correct, it is very litle.
But still to miss the actual amount per day by 90% is wayyyy off target .
