Suspect Sought In Syringe Attack

Prince George RCMP say they're searching for a suspect after a person was stabbed with a needle inside Walmart at around 1:30pm this afternoon.
Police say are not saying whether the victim was a store employee or shopper, but say the stabbing occurred when a man was approached about shoplifting.
The suspect fled the store and jumped into a red 2004 Toyota Echo, which was stolen earlier today.
Constable Gary Godwin says the syringe did not appear to be contaminated. He says an earlier robbery at the Supersave Gas in the BCR site also involved an employee being held up with a syringe. The worker was not injured and Godwin says the case does not appear to be related.
The suspect in the Walmart attack is described as caucasian or metis male with stubble on his face. He's described as in his mid-thirties, approximately six-feet-two inches tall, and 180-pounds. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a blue jacket with "Point Zero" on the back and a large pouch on the front and jogging pants.
Constable Godwin says this is the fourth incident this week involving a syringe, but he believes they're all unrelated. Godwin says they do involve intravenous drug users using the weapon they can most easily get their hands on: a syringe.
