CIS Women's Hockey Takes Over PG Coliseum

      U of A Pandas swarm the UBC net in first ever CIS women's hockey game in Prince George

    

    

In the first – ever CIS women’s hockey game in Prince George, the defending national champion University of Alberta Pandas handled the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds 7-1.  U of A held period leads of 1-0 and 5-1 improving to 5-0 against UBC this Canada West season. The Pandas outshot the T-Birds 54-15.  

“You feel the excitement coming into a smaller centre,” Pandas head coach Howie Draper said.

An announced crowd of 650 watched the regular season game at the Prince George Coliseum.

U of A faced off against UBC earlier this season in Campbell River and Port Alberni.

The two teams complete their Canada west regular season schedule 7PM Saturday on Coliseum ice
