Hospital Food, Yummy Yummy!

Hospital food, the very phrase can , well, make a person lose their appetite. At least that's the reputation of hospital food.

The Northern Health Authority is one of six Health Regions in the province taking part in a special project to keep track on hospital food.
The project will develop tools to measure the "quality, safety and satisfaction of food services" at PGRH and all other health care facilities under the Northern Health Authority's umbrella.

The new provincial process will be monitored by the B.C. Centre for Disease Contol.

The project is expected to start gathering information in the new year, with results to be published soon after that. The project will include patient satisfaction surveys, safe food handling audits, and nutritional analysis.

The survey will be done annually and the results will be made public.
