Prince George RCMP are investigating at least five complaints from citizens who were shot at with either pellets or small ball bearings from a slingshot in the past three days, along Queensway.

One call involved a young female being shot at as she was walking near the Gospel Chapel in the 15-hundred block of the street.  Police say the wall of the building was hit at least eight times.

That incident occurred on Saturday, since then there have been four complaints from the drivers of vehicle who were travelling along Queensway when their windows were shot out.

Staff-Sergeant Doug Aird says police have been conducting surveillance in the area and have spoke to a resident in the Queensway Tower Apartments.

Aird says, although the suspect hasn't been arrested, it's believed the suspect just recently purchased the slingshot and metal pellets at a local hardware or sporting goods store.  He's inviting anyone with information to call the local detachment and says officers continue to follow up on leads.

And if they are caught...the penalty is????
How about swallowing the ball bearings and having to wear the damned sling shot around their neck with a sign..............

"I am the goof"
Being one of the most recent victims of these slingshot-wielding @#$%'s... I'd like to see them charged, fined, AND have them held financially responsible for the costs they've incurred to each and every victim.

Or just put their names and addresses in the paper - regardless of whether the guilty party is a minor or not. It'll sort itself out from there.
a little pepper spray and a few smacks with the asp will deter them!!
