Theft of hydro will get you every time. They deserve to get caught. Just because you bi-pass a meter doesn't mean hydro can't track it and issolate the difference from your meter to your actual. Its a guaranteed go to jail, plus you could get hurt in the process.

If you're stealing hydro you're obviously commercial and therefore....
What really hurts is basicaly no penalty as far as the law is concerned. The only penalty is you stole from a corporation ant took thier service without paying. If hydro didn't press charges, you'd walk with fines. The justice system is written for lawyers anf judges--not for you and I. Keep that in mind and you will do well in this system.
So, what is the penalty for all of these offences? Nobody got hurt. Their gain was not really at the expense of anyone else. They are not really dangerous to society, are they?

They tie up our courts, our lawyers, our RCMP, our legal system and the cost or penalty doesn't even pay the cost of processing them. So, where is the deterant? Chester
Not a danger to society? Apparently you have no children. Maybe if there were tougher penalties for grow ops it would lighten the load on our legal system. Oh and lets not get into the guns...
I just find it difficult to read ignorant opinions.
So nobody got hurt?
What about the grow ops that are successful and hundreds of kids are affected by smoking that crap. And don't forget many harmful pesticides and fertilizers can be used to promote growth, which can render harmful effects to the smoker.
I think someone better read up on the effects of drugs on users.
The use of the hydro is incidental compared to the brain deads that will be an end result of drug use.
From pot to hash, from hash to heroin, from heroin to crystal meth-and on and on.
I liked the poster who mentioned use of "recreational" drugs. Did not explain what they are, just on the smoking of tobacco kick.
Name recreational drugs! Ammonra. Give us how users are affected. Make it interesting-and we are getting to the point we have more drug abusers than tobacco smokers.
I am sure it is not a problem with them tieing up the courts or any part of the judicial system, Chester. Doesn't take a hell of a lot of time to give a slap on the wrists.
I would like the police to publish names. Why is the public not informed? Why do they hide that information? Maybe, just maybe, some parents could stop their kids from associating with this type of criminal. Why the silence?????
Tell us-and this is not the first time I have asked this question.
Speaking of ignorant opinions. I find it a stretch that people claim weed is a gateway drug. I think it is less harmfull than smoking or boozing it up. I have never seen studied evidence that weed is harmfull to a persons health, never heard of a person that died from it, and I've never heard a plausible scenario how a weed smoker has negative implications on others that justifies striping the person of all their rights simply for smoking something that has been smoked for thousands of years with no harmfull side effects.

I think ignorance is what rules this debate and not comon sense or reason. I would think naming names is a witch hunt that violates a persons rights in the name of ignorance.

I do however agree that commercial growers should be punished, because growing for profit usually involves the pesticides and fertilizers that can have potential for negative health effects. The weed alone has zero negative health effects. If anything it expands a persons insights, and that is a good thing IMO.
I do believe I will bite my tongue on this one. Apparently Trusted we are wrong as well as ignorant.
Yeah Snappi, we are wrong, ignorant, but NOT "stoned."
I really have no interest in expanding my "insights." Not with any form of drug use anyhow.
I thought people "smoked" weed. Is smoking, smoking, or is there another word for it?
I thought drawing "smoke" into your lungs was harmful? Guess not, if it is marijauna?
Learn something every day-or did we?
Yeppers thats about the way I was thinking. ..but with weed we are also talking about the death of brain cells, not just an assault on your lungs. Sounds to me like we are more knowledgeable than once thought huh? I wonder what the second hand hazzard is on weed? I like your way of thinking trusted.
