This could be you tomorrow morning, as we change the clocks ahead one hour tonight, three weeks ahead of the norm, as most of B.C. moves to Daylight Savings. The exceptions to the time change in B.C. are Fort St. John, Charlie Lake, Taylor , Dawson Creek and Creston.
This is the first time we will spring forward three weeks earlier than usual.
The switch was moved up to the second Sunday in March and extended to end on the first Sunday in November as part of an American plan to save energy. The thought being there is more daylight available in the early hours of the day, so if we get up earlier, we can put our day "in sync" with natural light, preventing the need to turn on the lights and in turn, reduce our energy consumption.
This year, there is a hitch, as experts wonder if computers will crash or at the very least, provide a big headache because the operational programs are older than the legislation which brought about the change, so it is likely your computer will need to be manually re-set, and all of your appointments should be double checked for accuracy.
The Province says it has been working to ensure a "seamless transition" of all government electronic applications for tonights time change, and for the flip back in November this year.
MSN is offering a Daylight Savings time support program, but the fix many not apply to those with older systems. C heck with your software manufacturer to see if there is an update available.
We will "Fall Back" on November 4th this year.

2008 - Spring forward March 9th, Fall Back November 2
2009 - Spring Forward March 8th, Fall back November 1
2010 - Spring Forward March 14th, Fall Back November 7

I think places like Ft. St. John and Creston where they do not change their time are much smarter. Saskatchewan is another place that does not change their time.
I dont't think it should be changed at all, pick one way, it doesn't matter which way and leave it.
