The new "Signature" BC liquor store opened at the Pine Centre Mall today in Prince George. The new  11,000 square foot store replaces two other  B.C. Liquor stores in the city.  The outlet at 10th Avenue and the one at Parkwood Place were both closed to make way for this  facility.

At right, employee Vicky Stanley  rings through  customer, Emil Hucul.

Vicky used to work out of the 10th Avenue store "We will be able to focus more on customer service here " says Vicky.  She and the other employees of the new store  have been taking special courses to increase their product knowledge.

"The customers will see lots more selection and variety" says Vicky.

At left,  Rick Nelson  looks at  a display of VQA  wines  of B.C.

At right,  Lloyd Kovach of Prince George will be "on the record" as the very first  customer to go through the cash at the new store.  Lloyd made a purchase, but also made a donation to the store’s "Dry Grad" promotion.

The new store is one of 18 "Signature" stores in the     Province

Yes... it IS a load of crap, but just make sure you remember this at election time!!
We now have a winner for the stupidest comment of the month award. Congrats to DPJ for running away with the prize.

Shuttle bus service to and from the Greyhound bus station? Could lose a lot of customers if this doesn't happen.
Now they will hang out a Pine Center Harbinger along with the kids from the high school...now there is a partnership that was probably not considered by the governments....
I always went to the old one on 10th.
Sucks that they closed it for sure.

Sigh................
Ben...I read 5 Posts...There should be 6 Why was the First one deleted...when I saw it nothing seemed wrong with it??????????
Don;
If people feel they must use four letter words, to get their point across they will have to find another venue, thats why the post was removed. Surely people can police themselves
I agree Ben!
What will become of the 10th ave liquor store?...Biggest pawn shop in BC maybe!
10th Avenue liquor store could be a combination needle exchange and drop-in centre. Lots of businesses and autos in the neighbourhood. Easy pickin's. Better let whatshisname on city council get right on it.
The 10th Avenue liquor store is going to become. GUESS WHAT? A Liquor Store.

They have already changed the name to 10Th Avenue Liquor Store, and I suspect it may already be open. So all you customers can carry on and shop there.
What a great example set by Lloyd Kovach as the first customer. Lets hope others picked up on that and follow the lead.
