In addition to that, the students have added a special educational component which links students with  team players to  learn about  geography of the different  home towns there will also be classes on physical fitness,  staying  tobacco free and  web technology to link with other communities.

So we are paying students $25,000 to go to hockey games so they can learn geography ? I thought we did that in the classroom without having to pay the extra $25,000.
You get no argument from this quarter. The leadership class at DPTodd has been a leader in their field provincially for some years.
Kudos to them for "earning" the funds by preparing a comprehensive plan.

Oh I am well aware of the leadership program. I just do not see why it should be funded for the tune of $25,000 for something that should be done in the classroom and maybe a modest field trip. Maybe if there was more details about how the money was to be spent I could change my mind.
I'm with you lunarguy, the province has more important things to spend money on, like the Olympics! Or short stretches of four lane highway here and there, between a whole bunch of two lane bridges
metalman.
