Bill Christie was very deserving of this award IMO. To bad he didn't get the liberal nomination last time around.

------------------

Bill Lynch obviously was rewarded for his success in spearhading the new athletics center at UNBC, as well as for his work in Chair'ing the 'Have You Had Enough' rally that brought down the ndp. Its too bad the federal conservatives couldn't reward him by paying the federal share of his pet project at UNBC.
Yeah, it's a good thing to have a provincial government give phony awards to its political friends. Then supposed news websites can run "news" stories about what good people they are.

It's a good way to run a one-party state.
Chandermando. I doubt if Bill Lynch and his (Have you had enough rally) had anything to do with bringing down the NDP. This was done by Voters across the Province, who wouldnt know Bill Lynch if he sat beside them.

As for the Sports Plex on the hill. I wont thank him for that white elephant, that will cost taxpayers big bucks to operate.

Last but not least it appears that UNBC pledged $ 5Million to the Sports Centre without having the money. Dont blame the Feds. Blame UNBC they made the error.
I'm pleased to see folks active in our community. They do make a difference and I thank them for the time they put in.

A small acknowledgement of recognition is not out of line. The cost is very little compared to the value they bring to our communities. Chester
A realtor promoting social and economic growth ? What a totally selfless act ? Whatever would he do that for ?
Come on, people.....

The rest are deserved, congratulations to all three of you.
Ditto HepCat
Yeah a couple political thank you's that fit under the category of the "First Annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence!" ala the Simpsons.

The others are awesome!
