The Prince George Tween B Inferno return home provincial champions from the BC Ringette Championships in North Vancouver. The team of 13-14 year-olds completed a banner season with a 4-1 victory over Quesnel in the gold medal final of the three day provincial. Prince George goalie Megan Spooner was stellar in net turning aside the Cariboo attack on countless occasions. Inferno doubled Westside of Kelowna 6-3 in the morning semi-final. Spooner was in goal for all six games for Prince George who outscored the opposition 36-10 while posting a 6-0 record. Seven of the Inferno will move up an age group next year, while the other 7 have one more season in the 13-14 year-old ringette level.  The head coach of the provincial champions is Keith Sullivan; assistants are Lyn Hall, Lee Ongman, Rick Girard and Rick Spooner.

My niece played on that team. I think she will play for the Canadian national team some day if she gets serious about it. She often gets accused in out of town tournaments of being an overage player. She should be back on the same team next year.
