There  will be something alittle different about the Kelly Cup this year.  The 8st annual Men's Curling Bonspiel in Prince George  will be welcoming  two of Asia's top curling teams from Korea and China.

The participation of the two  Asian teams is a direct result of the efforts of "Train In P.G." says  Mayor Colin Kinsley ""We have been passionate about promoting the opportunities in Prince George to international athletes, and we’re starting to see the results from that work,"

The teams arrive in Prince George tomorrow, and will spend at least a week in P.G. competing and training before heading to Edmonton where the Korean team will compete at the Men’s World Curling Championship.

Events Prince George Manager of Sport Virginia Sprangers is in charge of Train in P.G. program and says the arrival of the two teams will open even more doors "We expect their visit this week will lead to future opportunities leading up to and following the 2010 Games."
