You can almost hear the conversation "Tell me again Martha, why did we leave Texas where the temperature was 85 degrees?"

Poor things. Hope they brought their snowshoes :(
"85 degrees"? That's pretty warm, considering a typical temperature in the desert is around 55.

You know that most people who use the Intraweb are under the age of 30, right? They have never used Fahrenheit in their lives.

(And given that those are Canada geese, they've probably converted to the metric system, like the overwhelming majority of the world.)
Yes HepCat the overwhelming majority in the world except the one Country that we do 80% of our trade with. The good old USofA. the metric system never caught on in the US, and probably never will. Nor is it used by Railways in Canada, or Golf Courses. I understand Japan runs a duel system, at least it used to;

Maybe we should start driving on the left side of the road, wear bowler hats, and and pack an umbrella. We could two tier out buses, and have tea and crumpets for lunch.
Amen palopu
The dinosaurs don't hold to the old systems (Fahrenheit, etc.) because the US does it. The dinosaurs hold onto it because dammit, that's what they learned. Things were good back in the good old days, so let's not change a thing. Back in my day, blah blah blah, and so on.

The metric system makes sense. It's based on 10s, which is what our entire numeric system is based on.

But you guys go ahead and keep a tight grip on 1958. Those were good times.

OMG people it was a joke - not meant to illicit comments and complaints about the non-use of the metric system.
Lighten up Hep, geese should use Fahrenheit when they’re in the USA, Celsius in Canada, but then, we don’t speak goose language, so we don’t know what system they use.
Also for your info, geese don’t winter on the desert, they need water... and by the way... in Phoenix the temperature is predicted to be 87 tomorrow, 87 on Monday, 88 on Tuesday, and 90 on Wednesday. Fahrenheit of course. The low will be 61 Fahrenheit all those days.

Maybe you could talk to the geese at the airport and see what means of temperature they prefer, given that they are residents of both countries? :)
Sure, sure. The geese can use Kelvin for all I care. Howzabout website editors offering some conversion into the local vernacular?

By the way, if I was any lighter, I'd float. Geez, if I really that uptight I'd point out the fact that geese really can't speak English, what with their lack of higher brain function and rudimentary vocal chords. So the debate between F and C is pretty much a moot point in their tiny bird brains.

It's important to note, however, that their total lack of opposable thumbs means they probably don't have internet access (assuming, even that they could get a credit card, which ain't unreasonable given how many dogs have been pre-approved), so they wouldn't be looking at websites such as these, so perhaps news websites such as this should cater to the understanding of the brains behind the eyeballs actually viewing my brilliant prose.

Palopu, one would never have crumpets for lunch. Crumpets would be served at breakfast. It would be quite inappropriate to serve such items at lunch. ;-()
Oh how I love you guys!! You are definately good for my sunday morning entertainment. Whether they are programed to fahrenheit or celcius all I can say is "silly birds!"
This being said by yet another dinosuar from the 50's.
