CIRX #1 in P.G.

Results of the twice yearly radio sweeps have been released and CIRX  ( 94X ) moved to top place in the 12 plus weekly ratings. The old CJCI, ( The Wolf ) grabbed second place, while CKDV ( The Drive ) formerly CKPG dropped to third and CKKN ( Hits 101.3 ) is in 4th place overall.

Here are the weekly numbers  for listeners aged 12 and over:


CIRX    (The Max)     31,200
CJCI     (The Wolf)     31,100  
CKDV  (The Drive)    24,500
CKKN  (Hits 101)      20,400

among listeners aged 18 and over, the breakdown is as follows:

CJCI                        29,000

CIRX                       26,400

CJDV                       22,800

CKKN                     17,600

Those numbers remained fairly constant throughout all age demographics. CBC, which enjoys a good listenership in this region, does not take part in the semi annual radio ratings.  Neither CBC nor the University Radio Station CFUR subscribe to the BBM ratings and therefore do not show specifically in break downs, they are simply classed as "other" on the ballots.
