Participation in the Alliance involves a financial contributionof 50 cents per capita. So far, the Regional District of Fraser Fort George, Quesnel, and Wells have all committed to financial participation in the Alliance.

Mayor Kinsley says the Alliance's report on the inland container port was a valuable tool which validated what local government knew. "When you are in the middle of an area that has resources such as wood fiber, petro chemicals, minerals and who knows what else, and now this transportation link to the world, we are an ideal place in which to invest."
