A man is in Prince George Regional Hospital  having undergone emergency surgery following a knifing attack in Prince George.

Prince George RCMP say the man  had just come from the Skateboad Park on Massey Drive yesterday afternoon, and met up with 2-3 other males who ased him for change,  When he refused to hand over  money, one of the suspects pulled a knife  and slashed him  in the throat and abdomen.

The suspects took off, and the victim  walked out on to Massey Drive where a passing motorist saw the man was in distress and pulled over.  The victim was taken to PGRH  where he underwent emergency surgery.  He is listed in  serious but stable condtion.

Massey Drive was shut down  for a time under the Highway 97 overpass as Forensic Identification Officers were brought in to examine the crime scene.  A police service dog  followed a track for several kilometres, but the track was lost because of heavy  foot traffic in the area.

Police say they are looking for 2, possibly three  young men, aged 19 - 21.  One may have been wearing Khaki pants.  Police are also asking that anyone who might have witnessed  this attack to give them a call at 561-3300

Hope they catch that S.O.B.
Oh my God isn't that horrible, and they want to put in an underpass??? That poor man, thank God for the good samaritan that stopped to help. Now hopefully he can describe and nail the scum that did this.
And the judge can give them a suspended sentence for a first offence. If they are really young they can be sentenced to "open custody" or even house arrest. That'll learn 'em.
