Loose Cats Loose!
Gofaster-what a stupid thing to say. If you are not a fan that is fine, but to say that you are again showing your ignorance.
At least spell "lose" correctly.
Loose ???
What do they need to snug up their suspenders, or what???
What i can t root for the other team...since when is that ignorance,,,,
It was nice to see a supportive crowd over 5,000 fill the multiplex. Reminded me of days gone by when we packed the place, supported our teams win or lose and enjoyed the process. Let's keep the momentum up and do what we can to support hockey in our community.

Remember, it is much more difficult to raise people up than for them to bring you down. Protect yourself. Chester
Its interesting to see all these fans come out at the end of the season because the Cougers are in the Play Offs. Where were they all year. The average attendence for 2005 was 3018 and for 2006 2927 per game. That means that we have suddenly picked up roughly 2000 soft fans that want to be there if they happen to win, but are conspicuous by their absent when they are losing.

I call these people **soft fans** and dont expect to see them around next year unless the Cougers are doing really good. Its much like the Golf fans who go out when Tiger Woods is playing but stay home if he isnt, not exactly good for Golf, or for Hockey.

Ah'''Those fickle fans you gotta love em.
I would suspect the fickle fans are a smaller number than one would think. For example...I like to support the Cougars, but I do not attend every regular season game. I maybe make it to 7 or 8 games throughout the season. But come playoff time I go more often as the games tend to be more entertaining. I think many people in our community act in the same way.
Most of the people attending these playoff games are Cougars fans and supporters year round...they just do not attend every single game for various reasons.

Ah who am I kidding...we are all bandwagon jumpers!
Gofaster,

its not that...trust me i am no cougar supporter...i would root for nearly any other team, before i will for the cougars.

I just asked what was loose is all.
I am no english major and i gave lose one o too many....and have been know to have many other silly spelling errors...my fingers get way ahead of the thought process at times...but that is ok...
and no i am not a cougar fan...
and i am not a fan of what the game of hockey has become.
And to all those who do like what hockey is enjoy by all means!!!!
Fans come in many forms, whether hockey or other sport or music or films or whatever.

Some are true fans (fanatics). Like groupies, they will go to every game or performance or event there is no matter where it is.

Some will go to events when they are a “reasonable” travel distance, or in a community where they have friends and can stay there and visit at the same time.

Some will go to every event in the home town.

Some will go to some events.

Some will watch the event on TV if broadcast, or listen to it on radio when broadcast.

I can see those on a budget or low income who are avid radio listeners to every cougars’ game, home or away, being far superior fans than those who happen to have enough money to buy season tickets and do it because it is the cool thing to do. Those people may just be able to scrounge up enough money to go to playoff games.

To call people who show up only on occasional games or during playoff “fickle” is not understanding or being sensitive to the variety of fans there are.

As for me, I am not a “fan” of any spectator sport. I am, however, prouder of this community if we have good representatives of the community, whether they are hockey teams, choral groups, musicians, visual artists, business people, companies.

BTW, I do not need to be a fan or financial supporter of any such representatives which show this City in a “positive” light to those outside this community. I still appreciate what they do for this community. The more we have such people, the prouder I am of PG and the prouder I am to live here and to tell others I live here.
