There are a full 18 projects that will be covered by $1.59 milion  for mountain pine beetle issues such as

  • adapting pulp bleaching  processes to use bluestained wood chips
  • determining optimum processes  for  production of ethanol and othe bio fuels,
  • and investigating protective coatings for soy-oil  treated siding and blue stained lumber for home  construction.

The Premier says his recent  trips to Japan, Korea and China have  revealed specific markets for flooring,  doors, trusses,  panelling.

Yeah! More money for business and still no real money for much needed social programs. Boy are the taxpayers ever going to be pi$$ed at how much they will need to be taxed to fix the much needed safety net. Hope they understand who didn't spend a little now to save a lot later.
It hasn't got here yet....I seem to remember other money schemes thatnever happened...
So REALIST, your point is to do what??? Where should the money be spent? Who should it be spent on? To do what? How will your solution alievate the problems? Chester
Wow, shows what I know. I was under the impression that Gordo and group were so-called Liberals. Judging by this story they appear to be closet socialists. Subsidies for interest groups, paid for by the taxpayer, is socialism at it's best. Gives a whole to meaning to the misnomer "Free Enterprise". Nothing is free, it costs you and me.
"More money for business and still no real money for much needed social programs."

And business swears up and down that they are not subsidized ... LOL....
Gordo Liberal now, used to be Social Credit when they got their asses booted out.
