Work on the Simon Fraser Bridge project resumed today with crews starting to clear trees at the south end of the bridge.
This is preliminary work as the trees have to be removed before any further work can be done on the twinning of the bridge. Actual construction of the bridge approaches is expected to start July 1st and the design of the bridge is expected to be completed by the end of July. The contract for the bridge construction will be tendered late this summer.
The project is expected to be finished in the spring of 2009.
