RCMP  are investigating a car fire south of Prince George.

The call came in about  1:30 this afternoon. 

A vehicle was on fire  about 15 kilometers  south  of the  city near Reeves Road.   A female RCMP member  from Quesnel was  off duty and heading to Prince George when she spotted the fire and called it in.

Early reports say the  occupants of the vehicle ( a family on vacation) are all fine, no one hurt.

Why are people so apethetic? Why does it take an off duty RCMP officer from another town to call this in? There must hav been other members of the public passing by that saw this.
