The Prince George Spruce Kings will take on the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Ontario Junior A hockey league in their opening game of the RBC Royal Bank Cup May 5 at CN Centre. The Lumber Kings avenged a loss in last year’s Fred Page Cup East region final to Saint-Jerome by downing the host Panthers 5-2 this afternoon in Quebec. The Lumber Kings joined the Aurora Tigers and Camrose Kodiaks as confirmed visitors to the National Junior A hockey championship May 5- 13 in Prince George. The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champion Humboldt Broncos forced a seventh and deciding game for the Anavet Cup with a 2-1 victory in Selkirk over the Manitoba Junior Hockey League champion Steelers. Game 7 is tonight in Manitoba.
