Plans Detailed for Students at Williams Lake School

Students from Poplar Glade Elementary School  in Williams Lake will  be in their new classes  Thursday. Poplar Glade burned to the ground last week leaving 218 students without a place to go.

School District 27 has made arrangements to have  grades 4 - 7 attend classes at Marie Sharpe Elementary and  the K-3 classes will  attend Cataline Elementary.

To ensure the transfer is as seamless as possible,  there will be special orientation tomorrow,   Friday is a professional development day, so  classes will resume Monday,

Each Poplar Glade teacher will be given funding to purchase  materials for the class room, $50 per student.  Each family will receive $50 per child  to replace runners, backpacks, or any other  items which may have been lost in the fire.
