North Nechako Housefire

No one hurt in an overnight fire in a home on the North Nechako road in Prince George.

One  of the residents  woke to what she described as a crackling sound.  She got everyone else up  and  out of the house and called 9-1-1.

The  roof of the home  was ablaze, and by the time firefighters had doused the flames, the  roof and much of the second floor of the home had been destroyed.

There is no damage estimate at this time.  Fire  investigators believe the blaze started  in the  fireplace chimney.
