Cause of Fire Not Yet Known

The exact cause of the Victoria Day fire at a Quebec Street building in Prince George  has not been determined.  Deputy Fire Chief, John Lane says investigators know the fire started in the basement.  ( see previous story)

Lane says the damage in the basement was so extensive, it will be difficult to pin point the exact ignition  point.  “We have done the most we can do, and now the matter has been handed over to the Insurance company” says Lane.

The building was home to one apartment and four businesses.  The ReBirth Tattoo shop   and the apartment upstairs suffered the most damage, but there was also a great deal of smoke damage to the Flamingo Hair Salon, Unicorn Healing and a new jewellery- gift shop
