Flood Warning Issued

A   flood warning has now been issued for Prince George and communities along the Upper Fraser.

The water level has been rising rapidly over the past 24 hours because of the heat.

Yesterday the two river side benches at Paddle Wheel Park in South Fort George were sitting in water.

On  Friday,  people were sitting on those same benches without fear of getting their feet wet.

Homes along the Fraser in South Fort have about one more metre before their decks become a wading pool.

  The River Forecast Centre is now saying they expect the  river to flood in Prince George early Monday.
