Local Service Set for Corporal Matthew McCully

There will be a memorial service later this week in Prince George for Corporal Matthew McCully .
A signals operator with the 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signals Squadron based in Petawawa Ontario, McCully died May 25th when he stepped on an explosive device while on a foot patrol in Afghanistan.
The 25 year old McCully was the 55th Canadian to die in Afghanistan.
His father, Ron McCully, is a Supervisor with Winton Global's Planer Division.
The service is set for Thursday afternoon at 3:00 in the auditorium of the Royal Canadian Legion in Prince George. The service will be followed by a private reception for friends and family.
