PG Athletes Capture Silver and Bronze

North Central athletes returned home with a pair of medals from the BC Secondary School High School Track and Field Championships in Burnaby. Cassie Keeping of Prince George Secondary ran to a silver medal in the women’s 200 metres in a time of 25.44. Alyx Treasure of D.P. Todd claimed the bronze medal in the women’s high jump.

In other results,Kevin Gaiesky of D.P. Todd placed fifth in the 1500 metre men’s race walk. Jonathon Rathjen of D.P. Todd placed ninth in the hammer throw.  Matt Neuman of D.P. Todd was 16th out of 28 in the men’s 3,000 metres. Kyle O’Meara of College Heights Secondary was 12^th out of 32 throwers in the men’s discus. Alexis Thornhill of Prince George Secondary finished 11^th in the women’s steeplechase.
