To the East of Prince George in the small communities of Upper Fraser, Longworth, Sinclair Mills, and Penny, residents say that while the water is high and some roads have water over them, there is no residential flooding.

Wayne McCoy at Longworth says there is some water over the road right near the river, but no other problems. He said that while the temperature hit 32 degrees out there on the weekend, “if you look up at the Sugar Bowl, there’s still a pile of snow to melt.”. McCoy adds “If we get some more heat or a heavy rain, things will heat up in a hurry.”

Susan Faulkner at Upper Fraser says the water is across the road just up from the Bowron Bridge heading over to highway 16 east “But aside from that we have no flooding around here.”  Susan says there is some water in the old log yard “But it isn’t doing any damage”.

In Sinclair Mills,  the Wayne Mueller farm  has  flooding in the fields, and  the water has come  over the bank and  crept about 100 yards  to  one of the barns.

South of Quesnel at Soda Creek, residents are keeping a close eye on Sunny Creek where some homes could be in danger
