Councilor Don Zurowski says “I’m still thinking, but I am leaning towards running for Council “. Those comments from a man many had thought may throw his hat into the ring to take on incumbent Mayor Colin Kinsley.
There will be one vacancy open in this years civic election, Councilor Cliff Dezell is not seeking re-election.
Meantime, while rumors abound, there has been no serious taker for a run at the Mayor’s job.
Best bet has been the rumor that former Head of CNC, Terry Weninger, has been thinking about giving it a go. Councilor Dan Rogers (who has routinely topped the polls) is also rumored to have been approached to take a run at the job.
Apart from these candidates, so far there have been no serious residents who are looking at challenging Colin Kinsley for the job.
Mayor Colin Kinsley announced earlier that he would let his name stand for a third term.

Kinsley would win against him ...
It would, however open it up to either Rogers or Zurowski to enter the race. I suspect whichever one of the two would enter, he would get the nod from the voters.
