Areas outlined in yellow are the areas under"emergency" status  There is also  an evacuation alert for Pulpmill Road along the north side of the Nehcako River.

The Prince George Emergency   team will meet this morning to assess the  Fraser Flood situation.

Last night, residents of Ferrell Street  in the Paddlewheel  Park area, were ordered to evacuate their homes.   Although the City  has  provided social assistance to those who needed a place to stay,  City Hall says only one resident  asked for such assistance.

The water continues to rise, this morning it was at 9.626 metres. More showers, possibly thundershowers today.  So while the cool weather may have slowed the melt,  the rain is still  causing  concerns.

The  evacuation alert area was expanded last night to include  Pulpmill road on the north side of the Nechako,  Taylor and Bedford Place  just south of the Yellowhead Bridge, the strip  east of Queensway from 20th to the Simon Fraser Bridge, and the Wiens Road, Lansdowne area.

Meantime in Terrace, a  local state of emergency has been dec lared as the Skeena is  starting to pool  in some people’s yards although there are no  evacuation alerts or notices in efffect.  City spokesman, Ron Pool, says the declaration is one of the tools needed to  be able to  issue  evacuation notices, or to  barricade roads and  control access to flood areas.

In the Regional District of Kitimat Stikine, evacuation notices have been issued for the residents of  Usk, New and Old Remo,  Dutch Valley,  Braun's Island,  and Queensway.
