The priuce of a litre of regular gas  has dropped anbother  few cents.  Earlier this week  it  dropped from 124.9 to 122.9, then it  slipped a little  more to 121.9

Last night the  gas stations in Prince George had  sliced another  three cents off the price of a litre to  have it sit at 118.9.  That is still  high, but nearly ten cents a litre cheaper than it had been the week before the long weekend when it  hit 127.9

Peak vacation months are not here yet (July/Aug). They'll get us again.
Yeah, Dominion day is coming.
Buy your gas now.
metalman.
At the moment gas in Vancouver (including its extra city tax) is selling for $1.11 per liter and the highest along Highway 97, south of Williams Lake was about $1.14 - so.... tell me we aren't being scalped. When we asked why the prices were so low in Vancouver, the attendant told us it was because the dollar went up. But maybe it only went up in Vancouver.

Chickenbus.

The attendant may not be lying to you. Some of the suburbs of Vancouver are very close to the border and have lower priced gas to compete against people crossing over to buy gas. With a strong Canadian dollar there is even more incentive to cross for the gas. Now, many if not most of these people work in Vancouver and to try and get them to maybe buy gas in Vancouver they have to keep their prices somewhat lower as well.

Vancouver has to keep lower gas prices to try and get all the people living in the suburbs and working in Vancouver to buy their gas. Now, of course the Suburbs always lower even further to keep the people buying at home instead of where they work. In the end it all evens out to a lower price than we pay, with Vancouver a few cents higher than the suburbs.
Many theories. Many will appear to apply at one time, then not at another.

Look at Osoyoos and Oroville, or White Rock and Blaine.

Washington border price is C$0.95 per litre at the moment. In Vancouver, Washington the price ranges from C$0.84 per litre to C$0.91 per litre.

In Osoyoos and north Ok Valley it is the sme as here C$1.18/litre.

Are prices higher at the border to take advantage of those who are north of the border and paying more?

Are prices higher in the boonies of BC because people are travelling with 40+ foot travel trailers at 7 miles to the gallon?

Jay Hill knows!
BTW, those travel trailers make Hummers look like smart cars. And they do really well on those northern roads to boot.
