There were no injuries , and the National Hotel on 1^st remains open following a fire in the basement of the structure late this afternoon.

 Fire crews were called to the scene to extinguish a fire located in the basement of the hotel.

 A small fire was found which was put out.

There was minor smoke and water damage to the basement of the building, but no structural damage.

All of the occupants had fled the building by the time the fire crew arrived.
