I guess we need an increase in the garbage rates to clean up all the verbal diarrhea about the automated garbage system. Admin and coucillors alike told us it would be cheaper and safer for the employees. They were half right since employees can't be injured pulling levers in a garbage truck. What happened to the millions we were to save? Did we really save money and it was put in some reserve fund or another or were we fed a line of bull? Lets put a 10% surcharge on the property tax notices for garbage collection and be done with it. ( on a separate line of course) When we get to the stage that pensioners have to make a choices between eating, medications, gas for their vehicles, or high city, provincial and federal taxes: I guess most will opt for food and business will cry wolf because people aren't spending money they won't have.
